Complete Hearing Care Since 2006
Hearing Solutions Everywhere
Evaluations, hearing aids, repairs, tinnitus care, earwax removal, and custom protection, plus Auracast and loop installation for venues across Ohio.
Why Patients Across Ohio Choose Advanced EARGEAR
Advanced EARGEAR has been fitting and servicing hearing aids across Ohio since 2006, with four clinics and a team carrying over 100 years of combined experience.
A certified Audioprosthologist leads the practice, joined by a Doctor of Audiology and licensed hearing instrument specialists.
Every recommendation comes from your audiogram, your lifestyle, and your budget, drawn from all major manufacturers rather than one supplier.
We also design and install Auracast and hearing loop systems for theaters, places of worship, and classrooms — venue work most hearing practices do not touch.
Your Best Sounding Life Starts With One Call
Over 100 Years of Combined Experience
A certified Audioprosthologist, a Doctor of Audiology, and licensed hearing instrument specialists who rotate across every office, so you see the same team anywhere.
20 Years, Four Clinics, and Every Major Insurance
Advanced EARGEAR is credentialed with every Medicare supplement plan, plus Anthem, Aetna, Humana, Medicare Gold, UnitedHealthcare, and most managed care plans.
Our clinics in Akron, Newark, Newcomerstown, and Zanesville share one floating team, so the same clinicians cover every office, and hearing aid repair is available at all of them for any brand.
We also design and install hearing loop and Auracast systems for venues and classrooms across Ohio.
We Don't Let Hearing Aids End Up in a Drawer
Plenty of hearing aids get sold. Fewer get worn. Advanced EARGEAR has spent 20 years closing that gap, starting every patient with a full audiometric assessment and a conversation about what they actually need to hear at home and at work. We verify the fit, adjust as your hearing changes, and service your devices at every one of our Ohio offices, whatever brand you wear and wherever you bought it.

Hearing Care FAQs
Answers about booking a callback, what happens at your first visit, insurance and Medicare coverage, the services offered at our four Ohio clinics, and who we care for.
Advanced EARGEAR sees patients by appointment at four Ohio clinics: Akron, Newark, Newcomerstown, and Zanesville. The fastest way to get on the schedule is to request a callback using the form on this page. Tell us which office is most convenient and when you are usually reachable, and a member of our team will call you back to confirm a time.
You can also call the office directly. Akron is (330) 785-0800, Newark is (740) 920-4608, and Newcomerstown and Zanesville share (740) 920-4609. We will confirm your insurance details before the visit so nothing is a surprise when you arrive.
Every new patient starts with a full audiometric assessment and a conversation about where hearing is actually failing you, at home, at work, and in the places you spend time. Hearing loss touches every part of daily life, so we ask about the whole picture rather than reading an audiogram in isolation.
You will not be handed a clipboard at the counter. A member of our team sits down and completes your case history and paperwork with you, which is how we would want it done for our own families. Afterward we walk through your results in plain language. If hearing aids make sense, we show you options across all major manufacturers at several technology levels, and there is no pressure to decide that day.
Yes. Advanced EARGEAR is credentialed with every Medicare supplement plan, along with Anthem, Aetna, Humana, Medicare Gold, and UnitedHealthcare, and we accept most managed care plans as well. Coverage varies widely from plan to plan, especially on hearing aids themselves, so we verify your specific benefits before your appointment and tell you what is covered and what is not.
For costs your plan does not cover, we work with CareCredit, which spreads payment over time rather than asking for the full amount up front. Call the office nearest you and our team will review your coverage and financing options before you commit to anything. Veterans are welcome as well, and many come to us as a second option alongside their VA care.
On the clinical side: full hearing evaluations, hearing aid fitting and programming across all major manufacturers, repairs and cleaning for every brand at every office, tinnitus evaluation and counseling, professional earwax removal, and custom hearing protection for musicians, tradespeople, and anyone regularly around firearms. Real ear measurement is available for verification, and we also handle bimodal fittings for patients with a cochlear implant on the opposite ear.
Advanced EARGEAR also offers advanced listening solutions beyond the clinic. Through GET LOOPED we design and install hearing loop and Auracast systems for venues, places of worship, meeting spaces, and classrooms, including students who simply need a cleaner audio signal to focus.
Most of our patients are adults noticing that conversation has become work, along with the adult children researching hearing care for a parent. We see Medicare and Medicare supplement patients across Summit, Licking, Tuscarawas, and Muskingum counties, people referred by their physician or ENT, and existing hearing aid wearers who need service on a device bought somewhere else.
We also fit cochlear implant recipients who need a hearing aid on the opposite ear, make custom protection for musicians, truck drivers, and people who shoot, and work with veterans alongside their VA benefits. On the commercial side, facilities managers, venue operators, and schools come to us for assistive listening installations.
